Folder Options not available in Tools Menu!???

Many people find that in their windows Tools -> Folder Options is not visible, they also can't access it from the Control Panel. I hv seen so many threads for this problem recently in our forum, I searched in forum and found more than 15 threads for this problem.

So I decided to post this tutorial, in this tutorial I'll tell the reasons which can cause this problem and their solutions:

1.) You can enable Folder Options by simply editing the Windows Registry! Just type regedit in RUN dialog box and it'll open Registry Editor, now goto following keys:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer

And in right-side pane, check whether a DWORD value named NoFolderOptions exists or not? If it exists then either change its value to 0 or delete it.


2.) If you are not familiar with Editing the registry, then u can simply download the registry tweak from here and then simply run the file:

3.) But sometimes u can find that regedit is also disabled, when u'll try to open regedit or run the downloaded reg file, u'll get error:

Registry Editor has been disabled by administrator.
Its a symptom of "RONTOKBRO" Trojan!

4.) If its not a virus problem and someone disabled Registry Editor in ur system, then u can enable it again by following any of following methods:


a.) Type gpedit.msc in RUN dialog box and goto:

User Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> System

in right-side pane, set "Prevent access to Registry editing tools" to either Not Configured or Disabled.

b.) Just type following in RUN dialog box and press :

Now after enabling Registry Editor, u can enable Folder Options again by using 1st or 2nd step






Imidiate rapid shut down window
while shutting down window. open task manager(Ctr+Alt+Del),
Select shut down tab. and press ' Ctrl ' key while select Turn Off from dis tab.
Count 5 4 3 2 1 Voila!!! U r window will rapidly shut down.

How To Remove Virus Manually?

Here is a complete tips to remove virus from a computer manually. Just follow my direction.
1.Go to “Start” then “Search” write “Autorun.inf” then search. The file have come,just right click on the properties of it and uncheck the Read only file.
2. Now open the file by notepad and delete all of the data insert of it by pressing Ctrl+A and save it. 3. Again go to “start” then “run” write “msconfig” andok. Go to the start up tab and if any “regsvr” found, uncheck it and exit without restarting.
4. Go to Control Panel then “scheduled task” and delete all of the task here.
5. Again go to start then “run” and write “gpedit.msc” ok . go to user configuration then administrativetemplates then systems. Prevent access to registry editing tools then disable it.
6. Again go to run and write “ regedit’ and ok then go to edit to find and write regsvr.exe and search. If any occurrence found just delete it. But be careful about the system files while deleting. Only regsvr.exe can be deleted but not the regsvr32.exe. again go to start then search then all files and folder then write “*.exe” and select specify date in the tab of ‘when was it modified”. Note a date within which a virus seems tocame in your PC and search. The date should be mentioned here as such that there may have the probability of a virus is attacked but none of the software were installed. 7. After finishing the search select all of the exe file and delete if by Shift+Delete.
8. Simultaneously write regsvr.exe, svchost.exe and search and delete .
9. At last restart your computer.
10. Hope all of the viruses have been healed.
